Last Thursday, December 8, Mexico hosted the Regional Meeting of Local Networks of the Americas for the Global Compact, whose objective is to emphasize how sustainable businesses are building the Global Development Agenda, as well as the importance of strengthening the fundamental role of business leaders towards the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Objectives (ODS), all through business meetings, tables with UN agencies and Forums.

During the event, nuvoil participated in the networking session called “Pioneers of Change”, which was attended by representatives of the UN in Mexico and the Global Compact Networks of Colombia, Paraguay and Costa Rica, the Ambassador of Denmark in our country, and a select group of business leaders from Mexico.

Lise Kingo expressed her gratitude and acknowledged the nuvoil business group for being distinguished in the execution of its sustainable business model and received from the President of the Board of Directors, Mariano Hernandez Palmeros, a piece of art and its certificate of origin from a distinguished local artist from the State of Veracruz.

Participation in this event reiterates nuvoil’s commitment to undertake responsible initiatives and to integrate into our practices mechanisms that go in the same direction as the UN agenda regarding the 17 Sustainability Goals stated in the Global Compact, being spokespersons of the competitive advantages of CSR as a Mexican company in the energy sector, this means a high degree of corporate social responsibility and a step forward in the development of our nuvoil management model.
