On September 13th, 2017 took place the meeting to install the Engagement Commission for the Education, Productive and Service Sectors of the State of Veracruz (COSVIN by its acronym in Spanish), were Mariano Hernández Palmeros was appointed Vice president of this Comission, having nuvoil´s corporate offices in Veracruz as headquarters.
Institutional representatives of different dependencies in the education, productive and service sectors in the state attended this meeting, such as CIVE, COVEICyDET, Universidad Veracruzana, Universidad de Xalapa, Instituto Superior de Xalapa, Instituto Tecnologico de Veracruz, SEDECO, as well as private companies.
During the ceremony, the President of COSVIN proceeded to extend the appointments to the members of the Commission, appointing Mariano Hernandez Palmeros as vice president, currently Chairman of the Board at nuvoil, Mexican business group, who said:
“From nuvoil´s point of view, an engagement with the productive sectors is an urgent need, the main reason for this is the formation of students and the permanent updating of academics, having the needs of the market as a reference and based on applied research and technological innovation … Our education sector requires an explicit engagement policy with the productive sectors to substantially improve what has been achieved so far”
Later, the Technical Secretariat of COSVIN declared the Commission officially installed, and to end the ceremony a dialogue session was opened where the members established the guidelines to follow and agreed to join efforts to achieve the said objectives.
Finally, Mariano Hernandez Palmeros said: “Nuvoil, as a Mexican company aware of its responsibility with Veracruz and Mexico in the current scenario, is committed to talent formation and technological innovation through the relationship of education with the productive sector” he ended.
