Mariano Hernández Palmeros, chairman of the board of directors of nuvoil business group, led the signing of an agreement with the Universidad Veracruzana, a strategic alliance that seeks to promote the creation of value and self-knowledge through research and development of technology to optimize artificial production systems.
The optimization of the oil extraction process, monitoring and storage with a hydraulic Jet-pump system will be made through a multidisciplinary team.
From this alliance, a multidisciplinary team will be formed and will include the participation of well recognized researchers from the Universidad Veracruzana (UV), the National Institute of Optical and Electronic Astrophysics, the Research Center and Higher Studies of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP).
“Currently working with technology from abroad, it should be noted that this new technology will be 100 percent made in Veracruz and will be patented in order to commercialize it,” said Pedro García Ramírez, technical manager of the project.
On this subject, Director of Universidad Veracruzana School of Engineering Estela Montes Carmona said “This will allow the State to rebound nationally and internationally, this will certainly position Veracruz as a spearhead in the energy sector”
Strategic Alliance
Under the current context of the Energy Reform, this link represents a strategic alliance between a public higher education institution and a 100% Mexican company, which has excelled in the oil industry as the Mexican leader in natural gas compression and artificial lift systems.

During the signing of the agreement, Vice-Chancellor of Universidad Veracruzana in the Veracruz region Alfonso Perez Morales celebrated the sum of talent for the benefit of progress.
“At Universidad Veracruzana we know perfectly well that knowledge should not remain in the classroom but penetrate industries, transform knowledge into something that helps and allows being part of the productive sector, much needed in our country,” he said.
In addition, Mariano Hernández Palmeros, nuvoil’s chairman of the board of directors highlighted “This collaboration is a reflection of the fulfillment of our mission, vision and values; it confirms our belief in betting on innovation and developments like these, in technological research.”
He highlighted the opportunity to grow as a Mexican company supporting Mexicans, “we are proud that our technical personnel development is one hundred percent Mexican.”
