As part of its sustainable development strategy, Nuvoil contributes through a corporate culture which is aimed at searching for the common good and for the transcendence in a responsible manner. That is why responding to the commitment of transparency, information and dialogue with its interest groups, the Mexican company of hydrocarbons published the Sustainability Report of the year 2017, report that has been published for three years in a row.

In this regard, Mariano Hernández Palmeros, chairman of the board of directors of Nuvoil Business Group, states as follows:

“Around the world, the energy industry is in a transformation process which requires that companies and professionals address the needs of energy, with a clear vision of the meaning of sustainability in their daily way of operation and their business models as well as in their way of communicating”

In the framework of the 20th anniversary of Nuvoil in the oil and gas industry, it publishes the Sustainability Report, which reaffirms the commitment to its interest groups. Additionally, it discloses its attempts in the economic, social and environmental axes, taking as reference the 17 Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the UN for the year 2030 which correspond to the adoption of measures to put an end to poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people live in peace and prosperity.

“We strengthened our commitments by thinking globally and acting locally. This year we focused on the continuous improvement in the workplace, involving the training and approach to institutions, such as universities and civil associations, which provide value and knowledge. Our business model was also strengthened, thus creating a security culture with 0 accidents, passing from the dependent to the interdependent stage”, said Grecia González, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility in Nuvoil.

Transparent, continuous and measurable communication

The company reports its sustainability results again, aligning itself to international indicators of management of Corporate Social Responsibility (RSC) and transparence for the oil and gas industry such as IPIECA index, COP of United Nations and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Guide.
