• Nuvoil´s digital volunteering platform is developed by Universidad Cristobal Colon students.
  • The winning proposal will be used by 1,200 nuvoil employees as the official volunteering web platform.
  • Through links with state universities, nuvoil seeks to contribute to the professional development of Veracruz students and promote Social Responsibility as part of their competences.

Within the framework of the agreement signed by nuvoil in September 2017 with Universidad Cristobal Colon (UCC), 7th-semester students of Computer Systems Engineering presented their proposals in teams to compete for their project to become the official platform of the Mexican hydrocarbons company.

“The innovation present in the talent of the students and our commitment as a Mexican company to promote it led us to seek the solution in the agreement we have with one of the leading universities in Veracruz, this way, we contribute to a better citizenship”, shared with us Grecia Gonzalez of Corporate Social Responsibility at nuvoil .

The winning team formed by Guadalupe Vidal, Violeta Estevez, Carlos Ruiz and Ernesto Hernandez, presented a proposal focused on generating an environment of motivation and integration for the user, being so a completely unique and functional design.

Ernesto Hernandez, member of the winning team, shared his experience: “It was incredible, it was a six-month dedication that paid off, we all made an effort and we did something very special in the end, that’s good they liked it”

Nuvoil´s volunteering website is developed by talent of Cristobal Colon university

The platform will be launched on the company´s intranet at the beginning of 2018.
